What she did before
Before Amelia was a pilot, she was working a lot of jobs to afford flying lessons, like a volunteer nurse in the war, a social worker, a truck driver, a stenographer, and a photographer.
Traits that made her what she was
I think her Independence, persistence courage, and coolness under pressure is what helped her become famous. Amelia wasn't like most young women at her age. She was more adventurous and wild. Choosing a goal oriented career like a pilot proves that Earhart had determination, and wanted a more thrilling life.
